Happy Thanksgiving

Scott, Calla, and I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and that you each took a moment to count your blessings, I know we did. We have so much to be thankful for this year, our family, friends, each other, and of course the best blessing of them all is a happy and healthy Calla. We spent the day with our Crystal Circle Friends in Portland at Rebecca's parents house. They were kind enough to invite us all up there along with Jeff's mom Carolyn and sister Julie. We had a wonderful day full of food and friends.

The Crystal Circle gang. Jeff, Calder, Rebecca, Courtney, Scott, Joy, Jay, and Calla! (Jay looks like a natural, we promised not to send this picture to his mom!)

Calla all dressed up for her first Thanksgiving, notice how clean she still is, this WILL change.

Mom and Calla posing for a picture before the sweet potatoes get all over the dress.

Joy and Calla. There were lots and lots of hands to hold Calla on Thanksgiving so mom and dad enjoyed lots of free time. Now that is something to be thankful for!!

Calla and Aspen

Calla is growing up fast and becoming more and more aware of what is going on around her. She now loves to watch Aspen and usually ends up laughing at her doggie. Enjoy this video of her laughing at Aspen.

Photo Shoot

Scott is out of town this weekend so Calla, Aspen, and I took a few photos this afternoon. Calla has become really intersted in Aspen lately, and usually laughs from her belly when Aspen is around.

Aspen and Calla just hanging out.

Look how much Calla's face has filled out, the photo on the top was taken in November and the photo on the bottom was take when she was 11 days old. The pacifier took up most her her face and now it looks small on her chubby face.

Look how much Calla has changed. The photo on the top was taken in June and the photo on the bottom was taken in November. She is growing up so fast!!

Just a few random photos

Looks like Calla is taking after her parents taste for beer.
Calla has been very interested in all bottles and cups lately. We just got her some sippy cups to try out. She has not been to happy with the non-taste of water so far though.

Oopps, first beer foul. Mommy has my back though and caught it.

My parents like to go on long walks and I am getting tired.

Yeah, my first ride on daddy's shoulders!
Daddy, I thought there was suppose to be hair on top of the head?

"Leave me alone, I am trying to relax. It has been a hard day."

Just chillin' on the couch with my favorite chew toy. My gums are starting to get sore.

Hanging out with mom.

Calla's Travels

Calla as well as mom and dad have been busy the last couple of weeks. Mom had a conference first in Eugene so dad and Calla came down for dinner one night and she got to meet lots of my co-workers. She was a trooper and stayed up until 8:30, her usual bedtime has been 6:30. Then this week we all headed to La Conner, WA for another workshop. This was a big adventure as we all stayed in a hotel room together for three nights. Unfortunately, it did not go as well as we had all hoped. Scott and I survived on much less sleep then we are used to as Calla woke up several times each night and we had to work to keep her from crying in the hotel room. We were all glad to sleep in our own beds last night. Here are a few pictures from our adventures in WA.

Walking along the shore in Bellingham, WA.

Hurry up and take the picture dad, my nose is getting cold!

Calla loves taking walks and looking at all the leaves. She is also getting very interested in grabbing things. Here she is taking a close look at the leaf.

We think Calla is getting her first tooth, so we are using LOTS and LOTS of bibs these days to catch the drool. She also really likes to chew on them.

We also stopped at Nisqually Wildlife Refgue on our way home yesterday. It was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed the fresh air.

"Talking" Calla

Scott caught some great footage of Calla "talking" to herself. She has started to roll over from her back to her stomach now. She is growing really fast.

Laughing Calla

Calla is now trying to help feed herself and it gets a little messy. One thing is becoming clear though is that she definitely favors her left hand to do most things. I am not sure if these things change or not, but it will be at least interesting to follow which hand she uses most. She really enjoys her peas, sweet potatoes, and apple sauce/bananas. She is getting two meals of solid food a day now.
Calla has finished her first month of day care going three mornings a week. Starting this week she will be going every morning Monday thru Friday, while dad starts to work a little more. Calla and I have had a great month hanging out together. I hope all is well with everyone and enjoy this pictures and especially the video!

It is fun to chew on these spoon things.

This is NOT ICE CREAM!

That sqaure thing is soo funny!
