Things are changing!

Life at the Shaff house is fun, crazy, hectic, and always in motion! Calla continues to be a two year old tat can do everything on her own without help (or at least that is what she thinks). She is talking in sentences now and really amazes us some days with what she says and what she remembers. She is still talking about the train ride with Papa and Grandma! This past weekend we had our good friends Steven, Kathy, Carson, and Tate visit from Idaho, it was a fast moving weekend with four kids running around between 7 weeks and 4 yrs old. I am sorry to say we did not take any pictures, we were too busy chasing kids. Here are some other pictures from recent adventures.

Unfortunately with all the changes that are happening, one that will occur sooner than I will be ready for will be me returning to work part time on August 26. I will work Monday, Thursday, and Friday and Scott will work on Tuesday and Thursdays. It will be hard to be gone from little Hannah, but at least I have 12 weeks of part-time before the real reality will hit of full time work for both Mom and Dad.
On Thursday of this week I went to a 2 hour meeting in Newport and Scott, Calla, and Hannah walked around the town. Afterwards we all headed to the beach. It was a very windy day so Hannah did not see much, but Calla had a wonderful time!

Look at Daddy fly!!!

Look at that blond hair!!

Hannah's first trip to the beach. Warm and cozy in Mommy's arms!
Here are a few recent pictures of Hannah. Talk about change. She smiled this week and is becoming much more aware. It is so amazing to watch all of the changes!! She has started to set some regular sleep patterns. She takes a nice long morning nap usually around 9 or 10 and sleeps for 3-4 hours in the evening from around 5-6. Life is good!

Train Ride with Grandma and Papa

For Grandma and Grandpa Rickly's Christmas present we bought them a gift certificate for the Mt Hood Train Ride. We all took a trip to Hood River on Saturday and took the 2 hour train ride to Odell. It was sooo much fun! Calla was so excited she was jumping up and down at the train station. Grandpa Rex loves trains and I think he has a new best friend. Here are some of the pictures from our adventure.

Calla sat with Grandma and Grandpa the entire trip and Papa talked to her about trains the entire trip.
Grandpa had a hard time keeping Calla inside the train. He had to hold tight to her the entire trip.

Hold on tight Grandpa!

Grandma and Grandpa and Calla enjoying the wonderful trip!

Calla waiting for the train to move. She was a little nervous when the train started, but was soon thrilled with the entire experience.

Papa enjoying sharing his love with trains with Calla.

Hannah came on the trip and slept through most of the train ride.

Part of this weekend was spent celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful weekend!
What a happy little girl!
