Happy 6 month Birthday Calla

It was not birthday cake, but I think Calla liked it just as much and ate it like a birthday cake should be eaten by a baby. Calla turned 6 months old today and is doing great. She is becoming a very active little girl and managing one meal of home made apple sauce and rice ceral a day to supplement the breast milk. She is getting so big.
We are on our second week of going to day-care three mornings a week and it is going very well. I drop her off around 8:15 and go to work until 12:30 and then pick her up. The day-care center is right on the Oregon State campus where I work, so it is just a few minutes away. Every time I pick her up she is either sleeping or hanging out with the other kids. She smiles at all the ladies taking care of her and is always in a good mood. Calla and I have also been enjoying our time together all day on Tuesday and Thursday and every afternoon. We go on long walks in the afternoon with Aspen in tow and entertain ourselves in any fashion we can the rest of the time. So enjoy these pictures we took today to celebrate her birthday.

Yum!

Feed me more mommy!

Calla is playing so hard, she falls sleep right in the middle of playing.

Calla hanging out with Froggy and Charlotte the elephant.

Belly time!

Calla has been starting to hold onto toys now and is having lots of fun.

I loved your 6 month birthday pictures, Calla! I'm sorry you were asleep when I called and sang Happy Birthday to you. :) Maybe that was a good thing. You are growing so fast. I am so glad you like Kindercare. Your Uncle John went to one when he was a toddler. Someday you can talk to him about it. Keep smiling! Lots of hugs and kisses from Grandma Lynda!
